Letters from various government offices (departments) and individuals, most of which relate to the despatches sent from the Governor and Lieutenant Governor in CO 37/194.

Offices: Admiralty, Council Office, Foreign Office, Home Office, Land Board, Law Office, Post Office, Board of Trade, Treasury, and War Office.

Individuals: Cox & Co, former Convict Department Clerk Samuel Chubb, Colonel Frederick Edward Chapman RE, Thomas Gibbons regarding Thomas Higham, Rev C A Jenkins, Kennedy McNab regarding former Assistant Warden William Smith, Rev J A J Roberts, and W A Ross.
