Description

Letters from various individuals most of which relate to the Convict Department, despatches sent from the governor in CO 37/165, CO 37/166, and the offices' letters in CO 37/167. Correspondents and subjects covered are as follows:

  • Dr Armitage (health certification and passage details for Schoolmaster William Thomas Roberts and Assistant Schoolmaster Charles Abbott);
  • Charles Abbott, Assistant Schoolmaster (salary advance, passage for himself and his family);
  • Robert Belvin, former Warden (case of his removal for 'habitual intemperance');
  • John Brodrick (salary owed after resignation);
  • Robert Buller, Assistant Warden (application for payment of travel expenses, asks to be reassigned to Bermuda);
  • Edward Brooks, Assistant Warden (application for payment of travel expenses);
