Despatches from William Reid, governor of Bermuda (August to December 1841) together with letters from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters related to Bermuda sent during the year. Despatches are described at item level; other correspondence is not, and correspondents and subjects are as follows:

- Admiralty (Vice Admiralty Court, convicts employed in private labour, arms training of dockyard men, model gun boat for flotilla, conveyance of despatches, investigation of conduct of Agent Victualler Friscotts, conveyance of agricultural labourers, Convict Establishment);
- Commander-in-Chief (water tank at Ireland Island, objections to granting local rank of Colonel to Governor Reid, enlistment of discharged soldiers in the local militia, Bishop of Newfoundland's complaint against the garrison chaplain);
- Board of Trade (vaccination, Acts);
