Proceedings before the Court of Appeal. This volume contains quarterly reports of proceedings heard and determined by the judges of the Assistant Court of Appeal. The manuscript reports describe each appeal, giving the names of the appellant and respondent, the names of the judges hearing the appeal, copies of depositions [often verbatim] taken by local magistrates, accounts of the examination of both parties and of any witnesses, and the decision of the court. No covering despatches are included.
Abstracts of cases heard and decided by local magistrates [as described in detail under CO 28/141] were originally included but because of their large format have been extracted to EXT 1/143 and should be ordered under that reference.
