This series consists of reports and supplementary reports of the Road Research Laboratory and from 1972 its successor, the Transport and Road Research Laboratory. They relate to the planning, construction and maintenance of roads and associated structures such as bridges, the study of traffic flow, road layout, road safety and road accident and research into general transport planning and the environmental effects of road vehicles.
AY 26/1-114 are Laboratory Reports (LR Series), and each piece consists of a batch of such reports. Reports from former reference 55 onwards are prefixed by the letters LR. Pieces from 115 onwards are Supplementary Reports (SR Series), and each piece consists of an individual report.
