Description

Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) on subjects concerning the Leeward Islands. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • Admiralty (Antigua: dredger Pholas; Montserrat: disturbances, hurricane, assistance rendered by HM ships, hurricane relief);
  • Crown Agents (Dominica: oil motor launch, cement; Antigua: central sugar factory with map, bill for £400, dredger Pholas, requisition of corrugated iron for public works, water supply with key plan, sum due by Mr P A Templer; Virgin Islands: misprinted stamps; St Kitts: M H rifles);
  • Foreign Office (Antigua: jurisdiction of Bishop, emigration to Cuba and Porto Rico, dredger Pholas);
  • Board of Trade (Montserrat: Passenger Ordinance 1898 and regulations);
