Includes 4 photographs depicting: (1) Gaol at Lagos (2) Administrator Glover's stables (3) Gaol at Badagry (4) Debtor's prison, Lagos. Enclosures in Lagos Despatch No 122 of 18 Dec, 1872, from Sierra Leone, Governor Pope Hennessy reporting want of proper gaol and prison discipline. Dated 1871.
