Petition to viceroy and provincial treasurer, judge and grain controller from Canton prefect, Fo-kang sub-prefect and Nan-hai magistrate, submitting that petitions in Chinese and the hiring of coolies should be permitted, that advance notice of perquisitions in the Factories should be given, that the term `barbarian' should be admitted, that various measures regarding ships and boats should be adopted, and that American sales of captured British goods could not be prevented. Endorsed in English: `December 1814' but apparently of earlier date.
