Order from acting sub-prefect for Macao to Select Committee. The viceroy has been informed that recently some British and American ships have entered without passes or linguists, and the Select Committee are therefore to report whether in the past English vessels have entered port with linguists or have had them when being measured and when reporting cargo. (Dated: 8m 20d).
