Description

  • Letter from Viscount Stormont to Admiral Rodney, enclosing a description of, and sailing directions, etc. for, Cayenne. Dated 1779 Dec 8.
  • Memorandum Book, Orders. Dated 1762-1763. 1 book.
  • Day Book, also containing a few loose bills and receipts. Dated 1766-1768. 1 volume.
  • Receipt Book, also containing a few loose bills and receipts. Dated 1767-1769. 1 volume. At the end a note of money paid, 1750-1751, for buildings at Old Alresford (county Southampton) and two Paris items, 1775-1778 (loose).
  • Account Book (bills paid in full), also containing a few loose bills and receipts. Dated 1768-1770; 1778-1779. Dated 1763-1776. One of these is Rodney's receipt for money received from the Duc de Biron (5 May 1778) & Biron's letter to Rodney.
