Turkey prisoners, containing:

British Relief Fund at Constantinople (Istanbul):

  • Particulars required by the Treasury to make further advances to the Netherlands Government.
  • Complaint by the Netherlands Government for not being supplied with the necessary funds in advanced.
  • Transmission of three packets of cheques cashed by Dutch Minister for British officers in Turkey.
  • Advances made by the Netherlands.
  • Collection of cheques drawn by British prisoners of war.
  • Money received from Mr P W B Walker.
  • Payments made out of the British Relief Fund.
  • Payments made by the Netherlands Government on behalf of the British Relief Fund in Turkey.
  • Cheques drawn by British prisoners in Turkey.
  • Sum of money advanced to Colonel Newcombe in connection with the Prisoners Relief Fund.
  • Payments made by the Dutch Government on behalf of British prisoners.

Mr Marcoghlou and Mr Maksoutoglou noted for the award of the medallion which is proposed to confer on persons of allied and neutral nationality who have done good work for British prisoners (they assisted by cashing in cheques from prisoners).
