Chemnitz prisoner of war camp: arrangements for repatriation of invalid prisoners.

Prussian Ministry of War response to British complaints of conditions at prisoner of war camps and ill-treatment of prisoners, including:

  • German explanation regarding accommodation of British troops in former pigsty at Helingolen (Soltau) prisoner of war camp and enforced signing of pay sheets at point of bayonet.
