Germany: Prisoners, including:

Arrangements for repatriation of prisoners (British and other nationalities):

  • Repatriation via the Baltic: limit set at 6000 British prisoners.
  • Transfer of prisoners of war from camps in Bavaria.
  • General R H Ewart's mission to Berlin: two letters with observations on conditions in Berlin and reporting on the conduct of prisoners of war in German camps.
  • Repatriation of Italian, Serbian and Portuguese officers held in Bavaria.
  • Question regarding the absence of British prisoners from those embarked on the Trent at Bremerhaven.
  • Alleged condition of prisoners at Gluckauf Saltworks, near Langesalza.
  • Evacuation of prisoners from Gluckhauf prisoner of war camp confirmed by Dr R Römer.
  • Disposal of vessels interned in Germany no longer required for transport of prisoners of war.
  • International shipping arrangements for evacuation of prisoners, including: use of Willochra, and South West Miller in clearing prisoner of war camps in the Baltic.
