Administration of the British Relief Fund: correspondence on international exchange rates regarding calculation of amounts due from prisoners of war who received advances.

British Relief Fund (Accounts): correspondence between the Prisoners of War Department and the Reverend Mother Muriel Daniel of Coventry Hall in Streatham, concerning statements of the accounts of Miss Louisa Mary Lecras, Miss Kelly and Miss Islay.

British Relief Fund (Applications): list of names of 108 applicants who submitted enquiry forms to different Netherlands Consulates in Belgium.

Central Prisoners of War Committee: correspondence relating to documents on disposal of funds.

British Section of Netherlands Legation in Brussels: statement of payments made to private persons and societies to be spent on behalf of British prisoners of war.

List of thirteen officers in receipt of advances paid by the Dutch Legation to British officers on their way, via Belgium, from captivity in Germany and efforts to trace and recover sums due from officers:

  • Lieutenant F Lynn: includes handwritten letter from Lt Lynn in Bradford, disputing the amount due.

  • Lieutenant Clarence Boyd.
  • Lieutenant Richard G Dobeson.
  • 2nd Lieutenant Norman Smith.
  • Lieutenant Colonel Sir W Coddrington.
  • Lieutenant Oliver Marlow.
  • 2nd Lieutenant F A Speedy.

Repayment of advances made by the Prisoners of War Department:

  • Miss Agnes Netta Creighton and Miss Anna Creighton, formerly in Brussels.
  • Mrs Montgomery, repayment delayed due to confinement at a private hospital for the insane in Armagh, [Ireland].
  • Mr Alexander Moriarty, correspondence regarding payment made while in Ghent.
  • Miss Alice Grant, deceased, formerly in Bruges: correspondence regarding a refund due to Mrs Emily Beaufoy Green for repaying advances never received by Alice Grant.
  • William and Henry Keates of Croix, Northern France, taken as prisoners to Germany: details of employment and current inability to repay the sums advanced to them.
  • Miss Mathilde Jacqueline Black: details respecting the estate of Miss Black, giving particulars as to the value of her property and sums due to British Government and other creditors.
