Supplies for prisoners of war in Turkey:

  • Proposals of Red Crescent Society for distribution of supplies to British prisoners.
  • Letter (in French) from the Netherlands Legation in Constantinople expressing thanks to the Director of the Anatolian Railway Company and enclosing a list (in English) of supplies sent to British prisoners working on the Baghdad railway line.
  • Complaints by prisoners at Angora prisoner of war camp, regarding unsuitabililty of thin cotton clothing sent by Netherlands Legation: letters from Sergeant Hailett and Private Windust.
  • Letter dated 9 February 1918, from Mrs V H Elton of Berkshire regarding shortage of food supplies for officer prisoners at Changri and Kedos prisoner of war camps.
  • Note by the Netherlands Legation with a list of items required by Indian prisoners at Eski-Shakir prisoner of war camp.
