Miscellaneous (General): Prisoners, including: Clothing and supplies for enemy prisoners in Russia via Sweden. Parcels to prisoners in enemy countries. Request for advice concerning the method sending a full uniform for Captain V Lindrop, interned in Germany. Coordination between the Prisoner of War Department and the War Office and distribution of work. Proposed Prisoners' Welfare Council. Instructions for the guidance of military courts assembled for the trial of prisoners of war. Request for list of Indian seamen interned in Germany and Austria, including one list of the Lascar crew of the SS Author. Enquiry as to the number of staff employed in the Prisoners of War Department. Postal service for prisoners, includes list of letters and parcels passed through the Berne Post Office in January 1917. Repatriation of invalid prisoners interned in neutral countries under the Anglo-German Agreement and specifically Doctors Meyer and Jastrau and seaman Reinhard Luchting interned in Spain, Repatriation of Paul Gramens of the crew of the German cruiser Dresden. Repatriation of Albert Seelman and Alfred Pils following medical examination which found them unfit for military service. Repatriation of Dr Walter Hanbold, interned in Spain. Repatriation of German subject Krieger, interned in Spain. Relief of destitute German and Austro-Hungarian subjects in Egypt. Shipment of books organised by Mr A C Harte of the YMCA in Copenhagen, for prisoners in Germany, Austria and Russia. Supplies for Romanian prisoners of war via British institutions funded by the Romanian Government. Mortality amongst Romanian prisoners in Germany. Purchase of Bulgarian paper money for the relief of Romanian prisoners in Bulgaria. Requirements of the various organisations for relief of Romanian prisoners. Supplies for Serbian prisoners in Austria. Shipment of cod liver oil for Serbian boys interned in Austria. Proposal that work produced by artists, authors, musicians etc. amongst prisoners whilst interned should be exhibited and sold in their own countries. Enquiry from the King of Denmark concerning ways of helping the 'The Buffs', His Majesty's East Kent Regiment, of which the King is Honorary Colonel. Includes a list of interned men of this regiment.
