Germany: Prisoners, including:

Request by British Indian civilians interned at Havelburg Camp for relief payments; despatch of 290 pairs of boots to prisoners at Havelburg Camp.

Miss C Badham: enquiry regarding the repatriation of her brother, Mr Francis H Badham, interned at Aachen and suffering from poor health.

Application by the War Victims' Relief Committee for the services of a nurse to assist British prisoners on their journey from the Dutch frontier to England, including:

  • Interview with Staff Nurse Jean Marchant.
  • Interview with Miss Ethel Bradbury.
  • Temporary loan of nursing services of Miss Green by the Red Cross.
  • Increase of salary offered to five guineas per month, and appointment of Miss Isabel Banks to the post.

Mr H Oldroyd: enquiry about the nationality status of his son, Mr George Edmund Oldroyd, interned at Ruhleben Camp, whose birth had not previously been registered at the British Embassy in Berlin.

Capture of SS Colchester, SS Prins Hendrik and SS Batavier II, including:

  • Passenger list of SS Prins Hendrik, giving details of those taken prisoner.
  • Enquiries regarding the welfare and whereabouts of Mr J H Irvin following his capture on the SS Prins Hendrik.
  • List of Belgian, British and Romanian subjects on board the SS Batavier II.
  • List of British passengers taken prisoner on board the SS Prins Hendrik.
  • List of British passengers from the SS Prins Hendrik held at Ruhleben Camp.
  • Mr Ernest Henry Rawson: request for his relatives to be informed of his internment in Ruhleben Camp; confirmation that his wife had been informed.
  • Information on Mr Mandelbaum, a Romanian passenger on the SS Batavier II.
  • Information that Madame Welvis and her six children, who had been on board the SS Batavier II, were being allowed to return to Rotterdam.

  • Confirmation that the British Government would be willing to release Doctor G Schaafs in exchange for Mr John H Irvin.

Mr Alfred Bishop, interned at Ruhleben Camp: desire to retain his British nationality.

Lord Devenport: enquiries about his sister, Mrs Meyer Kearley, in Munich, Germany; intention of Mrs Kearley to apply for a permit to travel to Switzerland when her health had recovered.

Mr E H Spicer: enquiry about arrangements for sending money to his brother interned at Ruhleben Camp.

Mr Frederick Walter Utting: claim for exemption from military service on the grounds of having been interned for eleven months at Ruhleben Camp.

Repatriation of Miss Katherine Cleverley, an English nurse interned at Holzminden Camp.

Mr John Wiggins: confirmation that he would be permitted to go to Brussels, instead of returning to the United Kingdom, following his release from Ruhleben Camp.

Mr John Thomas Parr: question of whether he should be issued with a British passport, following his application to become a naturalised German subject.

Grant of emergency British passports to Mr Goldstein, Mr Weitzmann, Mr Fishman and Mr Brummer, naturalised British subjects interned at Ruhleben Camp.

Petition, drawn up by the wives of certain British prisoners interned at Ruhleben Camp, asking for their release.

Mr Wilfred Stirling Buckley, interned at Ruhleben Camp: issues relating to money owed by Mr Buckley in respect of legal claims; decision to attempt to arrange for Mr Buckley's repatriation on health grounds.

Issue of passports to naturalised British subjects over the age of 45 years released from internment in Germany.

Mrs Ida Sheppard, wife of a British subject interned at Ruhleben Camp: request for financial assistance.

Mr Frederick Hefti: request for financial assistance to be provided to his wife and children resident in Switzerland.
