Germany: Prisoners, including:

Mr P J E Thomas, 'coloured' British subject from Sierra Leone, interned at Ruhleben: request for financial assistance; claim to be related to West African chief; arrangements for remittance.

Reported riot in German camp at Leigh, Lancashire, during which German subject, Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Schmidt, was shot: investigation into circumstances; report that he was shot while attempting escape.

Reported shooting of four German subjects: brothers Dittmar from Stuttgart and brothers Scherer from Zweibrucken, shot as spies following arrest in London; trial of Ernest and Adolf Dittmar, interned at Furnes.

Released German prisoner killed in action: Franz Koethner, released from Gibraltar on parole and killed while serving as a reserve officer in the Prussian Fusilier Guards operating against the Russian forces.

Compulsory employment of German civilian prisoners in Canada.
