Some of the reports (in pieces 19-25, 27-36 and 39-40) contain photographs of the aircraft accidents, and some reports (in pieces 20-21, 25, 27 and 31) contain maps of the accident areas.
Chronological.
Reports 1919 to 1936 - were designated C (pieces 1-18);
Reports 1937 to 1949 - W (pieces 19-30); and
Reports 1950 to 1962 - S (pieces 30-41).
Few of the investigation reports of accidents survive for the period between February to December 1944 although information may sometimes be found in the Air Ministry correspondence in AIR 2:
