Examples of leave certificates, discussions of Christmas leave, approximate requirements for Irish staff of various factories and works. Account of Irish workers and the problem of ill health, particularly lice, tuberculosis and scabies. Dispute with the Irish authorities leading to the suspension of recruitment in Eire and the subsequent resumption of recruitment but at a slower rate.
