The documents contain minutes of criminal cases, giving the venue and date of the trial followed by the names of defendant(s), the substance of charges against them, plea and sentence. A full list of jurors is also given. Other information includes brief details of circuit arrangements, names of presiding judges, circuit memoranda, names of sheriffs, under-sheriffs and clerks of the peace. Nineteenth century volumes usually give a full list of grand jurors, whilst those of the twentieth century often include the names of acting solicitors. Details of civil cases are occasionally included.
The Minute Books dating from 1945 to 1971 are missing.
