Description

Notes prepared for the use of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C & AG) when attending meetings of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). They amplify the reports which the C & AG makes to Parliament from time to time with a view to his having to reply in detail to any questions which the Committee may put to him. The PAC itself is a standing committee of the House of Commons which has the power to examine Accounting Officers on their department's accounts.
