Description

Tithe map of Rawdon (township in the parish of Guiseley), West Riding of Yorkshire. Shows buildings (named), chapels, parsonage, Friends meeting house, school, post office, lodge, stables, lawn, gardens, orchards, field boundary ownership, boundary stones, broken fence, trough, stiles, parkland, plantations, woods and common (both named), waterbodies, fish ponds, mill dam, footpath and/or bridleway. Occupation road and turnpike roads distinguished; toll bar. Industrial land-use; mills, working and old coal pits, pit hills. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. First class map. Signed by Robert Cooper, Leeds. The map is dated November and December 1838
