Shows borough boundary (brown), buildings (named), National School, workhouse, commons (named), heath, waterbodies, bridges, canal with towpath and locks. Named roads; turnpike roads distinguished; turnpike gate. Industrial land-use: mines, quarry (gravel), iron works, steam mill. Colouring used. Decorative border, compass indicator and cartouche. Scale: 1 inch to 6 chains; town mapped separately at 1 inch to 3 chains [1:2376]
This tithe map, made when the original [1845] map became worn, is a 1915 copy of the original map at IR 77/62
