Description

Tithe map of Whitchurch (part of) (township), Shropshire (tithable parts only). Shows buildings (generalised in built-up areas, named), rectory, house of industry, field boundary ownership, parkland, plantations, woods, heath/moor, footpath and/or bridleway, waterbodies, bridges, canal with towpath, named moss. Named roads; turnpike roads distinguished; toll gate. Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 8 chains; index map at 1 inch to 16 chains [1:12,672]. Note that map was 'corrected and copied' by Bate and Timmis, Whitchurch, Shropshire
