Description

Tithe map of Rothbury (township in the parish of Rothbury), Northumberland (tithable parts only). Shows buildings (named), school, girls' school, workhouse, mill, landownership, boundary stones, field gates, woods, hill-drawing, footpath and/or bridleway, marsh (moss), gravel beds, waterbodies, dam, well, fords, footbridge, rock outcrops, crags, named streams. Named roads; turnpike roads distinguished; toll bar. Industrial land-use: mine, quarries, fulling mill. Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 8 chains; town and environs at 1 inch to 4 chains [1:3168].
