Description

Tithe map of Strood (parish), Kent. Shows buildings (named), windmills (pictorial), boundary trees and marks, fences, woods (named), hop grounds, footpath and/or bridleway, milestone, waterbodies, mill pond, antiquities (Giant's Grave). Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains.

With 4 altered apportionment maps. 1] Dated August 1855, at 1 inch to 3 chains, showing Strood to Maidstone Railway. 2] Dated 18 April 1861, at 1 inch to 3 chains, showing Strood to Maidstone Railway. 3] Dated 29 September 1928, at 1:2500. 4] Dated 14 July 1933, at 1:2500. Other altered apportionment maps are located with the apportionment.
