Shows buildings (named), workhouse, post office, town hall, hotel, churchyard, burial ground, orchards, parkland, plantations, woods, open fields, railway with station and platforms, sand or stone pits, hill-drawing, marsh, waterbodies, canal with locks, antiquities (priory). Industrial land-use: gas works. Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 6 chains. Surveyed by J S Surridge, Coggeshall, Essex, including manuscript enlargement of town at 1.5 chains; lithographed by Shaw and Sons, Fetter Lane, London.
