Shows buildings (named), parsonage, school, summer houses, clubhouse, offices, hotels, bowling green; orchards, parkland, plantations and woods (all coloured); landownership, field names, field boundary ownership, boundary stones, glebe, hedges, field gates, common (named), heath/moor (coloured), named downs, hill-drawing, named roads, footpath and/or bridleway, waterbodies, salmon weir, waterfall, bridges, antiquities (castles, fort, barrow). Some foreshore features depicted: cliffs, beach, pier. Industrial land-use: quarry, lime kilns. Decorative cartouche. Scale: 1 inch to 4 chains; Lynton and Lynmouth towns are mapped at 1 inch to 2 chains [1:1584]. Triangulation points. By Bland Hood Galland, Civil Engineer, and D Vaughan.
