Description

Tithe map of St Columb Major (parish), Cornwall. Shows buildings (named), ice house, boundary stones, fences, field gates, field acreages, commons (named), heath/moor, marsh (sedge), waterbodies, rock outcrops, antiquities (castle, barrows, tumuli). Turnpike roads distinguished. Industrial land-use: mines and shafts, engine shaft, quarry, stamp mill, steam workers excavations. Scale: 1 inch to 4 chains. Construction lines shown. By Hughbert Baker.
