Turnpike roads distinguished; toll bar. Scale: 1 inch to 5.1 chains or 4 Lancashire chains [i.e. of 28 yards each]. Note on map that it was 'taken from the Original Map belonging to the Earl of Derby revised and corrected for the commutation of the tithes'
