Description

Precept to the sheriffs the city of Coventry by Christopher Waren, mayor, and associates, justices to enquire concerning all heresies, felonies, contempts, trespasses, illicit words, false pleas, offensive opinions and all articles against the statute of 1539 (Statute of Six Articles, 31 Hen VIII, c 14) to summon a jury before them at Coventry on 27 July 1542, dated 10 July and issued by the mayor's clerk, John Pole); indictments file and jury panel.

The file survived in the Treasury of Receipt, so it was probably not returned into King's Bench. Briefly calendared in Letters and papers of Henry VIII, XVII, no. 537.
