Description

Returned oyer and terminer commission, Essex, held by John Prisot, Richard Byngham and associates, under commissions dated 28 Sept 1452 and 8 Jan 1453 for all treasons, etc in this and twelve other counties: at Thaxted 3-4 Nov 1452 and 9-10 Feb, adjourned by privy seal (m 58) of 14 Jan 1453 from 20 Jan 1453; at Colchester 12-14 Feb 1453 and at Stratford Langthorne 1-2 and 5 June and 16 Oct 1453: jury panels and precepts, etc file (commissions, mm 322-323; main panels, mm 2-17; Thaxted session, mm 1-150, Colchester sessions, mm 151-237 Stratford session, mm 238-321, all approximately.
