This series consists of annual reports and accounts of the British Transport Commission published on single annual volumes from 1948-1955. Thereafter there were two annual volumes the first of which was Reports and the second financial and statistical accounts. From 1952 onwards the annual publication British Transport was produced giving notes on accounts. In 1957 the publication was extended to cover general development in British transport. The series ends in 1962 on the abolition of the commission.
