Receipts for Gratuities: Nos 250-497.
- A pre-printed book of receipts. The payments covered by these relate to the termination of service of the men of the Army Works Corps.
- In most cases these give the man's name, his number in the pay register, the amount paid and date, and the man's signature or mark. Also included, in most cases, is his trade.
- Three of the receipts refer to men who died. In their case payment was made to their widow. The name, relationship and, in two cases, the address are usually given together with date and place of death.
- Vouchers 489-497 were numbered but not used. There are no vouchers numbered 498 or 499.
