Arrival of Troops. A statistical analysis of troops arriving in the Crimea. This comprises an Inventory of Arrivals and a Daily Statistical Analysis of Effectives. There is also a List of Tools and Implements.
- The Inventory of Arrivals details the arrival of reinforcements and gives type of draft and corps, name and type of vessel and whence it came, date of disembarkation of draft and when disembarkation return was forwarded, number of men (by rank) and horses. It covers the period 1 Jan 1855 to 2 May 1856.
- The Daily Statistical Analysis of Effectives gives a breakdown of the number of infantry troops by date, effectives, batmen, sick, on command, dead, at Scutari and sent home. It covers the period 1 Mar to 30 Jun 1855 only with brief statistics for 1 Jan to 28 Feb 1855.
- The List of Tools and Implements includes the findings of a committee reporting on the state of entrenching tools. It consists of a series of inventories of tools and implements, approved for issue to the holders of seven named artisan posts in connection with mining and earth boring, and instructions for their use.
- A single loose sheet inserted into this volume gives lists of maps, plans, instruments, books, sundries and furniture. It is not clear to what this refers.
