Description

Journal of Operations. A daily diary of events during the siege of Sevastopol. This covers:

  • trench construction and artillery emplacement;
  • actions against and by the enemy; this includes details of those killed, wounded or missing (officers only named);
  • reconnaisances;
  • weather;
  • ships arriving including regiments, drafts, and cargo;
  • ships sailing including sick and stores;
  • regiments arriving and moving up to the front line;
  • events and observations.
