Description

Spencer Perceval to Lord Chatham informing him that owing to the continued anxiety of the King about his daughter's (Amelia) illness it would be extremely doubtful whether his health would permit him to sign the commission for the further prerogation of Parliament; in such case Parliament could meet only to adjourn, the government proposing an adjournment for a fortnight.
