Folios 367-368: Thomas Walbeoff, [Regulating Captain], Poole. Reports that James Dowland, a magistrate of Blandford, has sent a seaman to the rendezvous and asks whether in this case he should pay the increased reward and also mileage, as he was ordered to pay 20 shillings and mileage in the Admiralty letter dated 4 July 1803. The seaman was taken up by a soldier and carried to the magistrate, the parties of troops dispersed close to the coast have many oppotunities of picking up seamen.
