Folio 302: Benjamin Walker, HMS Helder, Humber. Reports that John Barnes was impressed from the brig Rochdale, he had no indenture aboard but an indenture was sent to him from Hull on which his name did not correspond with the certificate of his age, so he referred his master Peter Atkinson to the Admiralty. He understands that the Honourable Lieutenant [Robert] Monckton will shortly be suspended, he asks the Admiralty to appointed a junior officer to Lieutenant John Peate, now First Lieutenant.
Folios 303-304: enclosure with folios 302. Letter dated 28 May 1805 by John Bimmer, St Swithin's Lane, to the Admiralty. Is sending [Enclosures no longer present] a birth certificate and indenture for John Barnes, an apprentice to Peter Atkinson of Hull, who has been impressed by Captain Benjamin Walker of HMS Helder in the River Humber, asks for Barnes to be discharged.
