Captured ship: Unity of Hamburg, otherwise Eendracht (master Hance Johnson of Hamburg, otherwise Hans Jansen).
History: a Hamburg merchant ship (40 lasts), bound from Hamburg to La Rochelle, laden with pipe staves and sea coal; taken on 9/19 December 1673 off St Helens, the Isle of Wight, by HMS Hopeful Margaret dogger (John Robinson commanding) and brought into Portsmouth.
