Folios 298-299: enclosure with folios 296-297. Thomas Hall, HMS Vincejo, the Downs, 21 February 1804, to Captain Wright. Gives reasons for the bill as follows: on 8 March 1803 he was sent with 3 midshipemn and a 6 oared boat from HMS Apollo for pressing. Due to bad weather, they were forced on shore and remained for 3 days, until the flood tide allowed then to proceed to Spithead. As they had no cash, he and Lieutenant Gilliand gave a bill to the agent victualler at Portsmouth. After reaching Spithead, he sailed on HSM Apollo for Cork the next morning.
