Folios 290-291: [H. Worth?], Commanding Sea Fencibles from Emsworth to Littlehampton, Chichester. Has sent the following 4 men on board the Flagship at Spithead: Thomas Pennicott, Jonathan Farr, Richard Read, John Patching (a volunteer). Requests directions about payment of the Sea Fencibles involved, and whether to charge their pay and expenses in the same proportion as last approved by the Board. Also requests directions about whether to pay the Lieutenant, sent twice from Emsworth to Portsmouth with pressed men, the same allowance as previously. As he has few men on permanent pay, he is losing opportunities to press the many suitable men in the area. Requests four men, a midshipman, and a Jolly boat. His two officers are sufficient for both services.
