Folios 270-271: William Wooldridge, HMS Scourge, the Downs. Responding to the letter of 9 July, encloses two certificates of Mr. Hepburn's services as Boatswain of HMS Vulcan and HMS Victorious, both of which are strong testemonials of his good conduct. He has been Boatswain of HMS Scourge for 12 months, and has conducted himself with propriety both as an Officer and a Gentleman. Captain Wooldridge has no hesitation in recommending him.
