Folios 266-267: William Wooldridge, HMS Scourge, the Downs. Responding to orders from Admiral Rowley to report on the case of John Chatham. He is a boy, about 14 years old, who has been on board since the vessel was commissioned [August 1803?]. His reason for running away from his Master was bad treatment and near starvation, which his appearance indicated.
