Folios 240-241: Daniel Woodriff, HMS Calcutta, Portsmouth. Was informed by a letter dated 6 September that John Bailey had been appointed Lieutenant, but he has not yet joined the ship. Lieutenants Pateshall, Dowers and Purches have been removed to other ships, and Lieutenant Donovan remains on leave of absence, leaving only one Lieutenant for the ship.
