Description

Folios 201-202: Marshall Reed, Norfolk Street. Encloses the commission from Commodore Hood, appointing Lieutenant Edward Woolcombe captain of HMS Hippomenes, and requests confirmation.

Folio 203: enclosure with folios 201-202. Samuel Hood, Commodore in Chief of vessels at Barbados, 6 June 1804. Commission of Edward Woolcombe to be promoted to Captain of the Hippomenes in place of Captain Kenneth Mckenzie, promoted to the Carysfort, in place of Captain Robert Fanshawe, deceased.
