Folios 192-193: William Wolseley, Tarbert, Ireland. Three of the 5 gun vessels have arrived in good order. The other two were separated in gales. There are 500 Sea Fencibles on the river, should increase to 600 in a few days. Requests a sailing boat to be hired, or purchased locally, or sent, for reasons given in his letter of 7 April and approved by Rear Admiral Whitshed. The daily expense of such a vessel would be approx. 10 shillings; purchase cost £200- £230.
