Folios 396-397: Isaac Wolley, HMS Gelykheid, Hawke Roads. Is enclosing a letter from Captain Richard Poulden, Whitby Rendezvous, a copy of which he has sent to Rear Admiral Russell, relating to an enemy's brigantine sighted off the coast.
Folios: 398-399: enclosure with folios 396-397. Letter dated 13 june 1804 by Richard Poulden, Whitby Rendezvous to Captain Isaac Wolley, HMS Gelykheid, Hawke Roads. Reports that there is a brigantine enemy's privateer close to the coast. Lieutenant Shaw of the Sea Fencibles reported to him that he heard guns of engagement between the enemy and a Cutter or Berwick smack. Six more guns were heard north west of the Port and an enemy's flag is now flying on the coast at South Cliff.
