Folios 344-345: [Charles] Wollaston, Swansea. Is enclosing letter from Lieutenant John Knill Kinsman of the Newport Sea Fencibles, and requests to know whether the men are entitled to a bounty and travel expenses.
Folio 346: enclosure with folios 344-345. Letter dated 1 June 1804 by Lieutenant John Knill Kinsman, Newport to Charles Wollaston, Swansea Sea Fencibles: Reports that Captain Barker, Regulatory Officer at Bristol, has acknowledged receipt of two men pressed into service. He has been given to understand by Captain George Jones by letter dated 19 October 1803 that the person taking charge of impressed men is entitled to a bounty of twenty shillings plus sixpence per mile for travelling expenses. Captain Barker states he has no instructions to this efffect and therefore clarification is requested.
